CHARLOTTE, N.C. - If you love to cook and want to be a star, Harris Teeter is giving you a chance to shine during the Harris Teeter Brands Holiday Video Challenge. Participants have the chance to win $2,500 cash or $500 in Harris Teeter gift cards and be featured on harristeeter.com.

What do you need to do to enter?  Participants must produce a video of themselves making their favorite holiday recipe. Have fun, be creative and, most importantly, use Harris Teeter Brand products in your recipe.  While you are cooking, we also want you to tell us why you prefer Harris Teeter Brand versus national brand products.

If you do not have a favorite holiday recipe but want to enter the contest, do not worry.  Click on the Chef Phil recipe link at the top of the Harris Teeter Brand Holiday Video Challenge website and choose from eight of his holiday favorite recipes including entrées, sides, and desserts.  Of course, contestants are encouraged to add their own flavor to Chef Phil’s recipe and to use Harris Teeter Brand products.

Upload your recipe video

Harris Teeter will accept entries between September 23 and November 24.  Once you upload the video, encourage friends, co-workers and family to vote for you to win!  Harris Teeter will tally the votes, take the top 20 recipes and give them to a team of judges selected by Harris Teeter to pick four winners.  The four winners will be announced on December 8th on the Harris Teeter Holiday Video Challenge website.  The 1st place winner will receive $2,500 cash and the three runners-up will receive $500 in Harris Teeter gift cards. All four videos video will also be featured on harristeeter.com. 

Harris Teeter selected Votigo to power the video contest micro-site.  Votigo's social media contest platform provides a highly interactive and engaging experience for users. Contestants can share "vote for me" widgets that can be posted on any social network profile or blog and post to Facebook or Twitter to encourage friends and family to vote for them.
