11/06/09 - Acquisition Spells End for Wachovia Childcare
CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Wachovia's north Charlotte child care center will be laying off its entire staff following Wells Fargo's elimination of a tuition subsidy, the Charlotte Observer reports. The center employs 130 child care professionals, and, according to the report, will be reopened as a community-based Bright Horizons center. The layoffs will be effective on December 31.
