11/10/09 - High Risk Insurance Pool Gets Federal Grant
CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Inclusive Health, North Carolina's High Risk Health Insurance Pool, will receive a $1.5 million grant to provide monthly subsidies to people who cannot afford to join the pool, according to the North Carolina News Network. The report quotes Inclusive Health's executive director, Michael Keogh, as stating that the funds will help 500 North Carolinians subsidize their health care coverage for a year, resulting in savings of 20 to 43 percent on premiums.
