CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The North Carolina Technology Association (NCTA), the primary voice of the technology industry in North Carolina, will host a luncheon on Wednesday, March 4, from 8-10:30 a.m. at the Embassy Suites in Cary, NC. Following a similar event held in Charlotte in December, the breakfast, entitled "When Will Technology Emerge from a Nuclear Winter?" will focus on the impact of the current market turmoil and its effects on the future of the technology industry.

Robert Power, VP of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) Euronext Global Corporate Client Group, will serve as the keynote speaker at the event, which also includes a panel of leading figures in the economic and technology industries.

Panelists will include: Cal Hackeman, National Managing Partner, Technology Industry Practice, Grant Thornton; David Jones, President and CEO, Peak 10; and Michael Elliott, General Partner, Noro-Moseley Partners.

Representatives of technology companies, technology supporters and investors and others interested in the economic condition of our region are encouraged to attend. Registration ends March 3. For more information, visit www.nctechnology.org.

About NCTA: The North Carolina Technology Association's mission is "Making North Carolina #1 in Technology and Technology #1 in North Carolina." The organization does this through three main focus areas: executive engagement, public affairs, and knowledge workforce.
