RALEIGH, N.C. - The Board of Directors of Special Olympics North Carolina elected officers for 2010 during their Dec. 8 meeting at SONC Headquarters in Morrisville, according to SONC President/CEO Keith L. Fishburne. Bill Richardson of Raleigh was elected to the position of board chair.  Ron Henries of Boone was elected vice chair. Scott Shannon of Charlotte was elected treasurer and Kelli Embler of Harrisburg was elected to the secretary position.
Beginning new terms on the SONC Board of Directors are Jim Bullard of Mooresville, Scott Shannon of Charlotte and Mike Durbin of Newport. All members will serve a three-year term, according to Fishburne.
