RALEIGH, N.C. - The N.C. Department of Transportation will hold three open houses and a public hearing on the proposed relocation of U.S. 74 from U.S. 129 in Robbinsville to N.C. 28 in Stecoah. The U.S. 74 Relocation Project would construct a new 27-mile four-lane highway divided by a median from U.S. 19/74/129 in Andrews to Wattia Road in Almond. The public hearing will be held on Oct. 29 at 7 p.m. in the Graham County Community Building auditorium. The formal presentation will consist of an explanation of the proposed corridor alternatives, design, right-of-way and relocation requirements and procedures. The hearing will be open for statements and questions.
